Nelar does not have a rescue centre. During 2023 we homed just 29 cats/kittens! This represents the lowest number of cats homed in the last 16yrs and indicates how difficult it is to find new homes for unwanted cats/kittens. However, we would like to home many more in the coming year but need more volunteer fosterers.
All the cats in care are looked after by volunteers. An additional 3 or 4 foster homes who would be willing to look after just one cat each, would make a massive difference. All food and vet bills are covered by Nelar.
